The Houses and Us, explores the relationships between architecture, migration and death in the context of transnational relationships within the remittance landscapes. The photographs propose the idea that remitting, and migration is performative in that the laborer constructs houses but at a distance across international borders. The photos capture the multiple sense of being in relation to identity and place experienced in migrant family histories.
