The Day I Return Back, examines fragments of everyday experiences within the remittance landscape. By focusing on three recurring scenes: labor in the host country, the longing of a loved one, and repatriations, Nudo, a dynamic sound art group and Verónica Gaona, call attention to the social and psychological costs sustained by migrants producing the US city. Place, space, and the material world are brought into discussion to shine light on the ambivalence experienced and migrant’s desire to build a better future.

El Día que Regrese, examina fragmentos de experiencias cotidianas dentro del panorama de las remesas. Al centrarse en tres escenas recurrentes: el trabajo en el país de anfitrión, el anhelo de un ser querido y las repatriaciones, Nudo, un grupo dinámico de arte sonoro y Verónica Gaona, llaman la atención de los costos sociales y psicológicos que soportan los migrantes que producen la ciudad estadounidense. El lugar, el espacio y el mundo material se ponen en discusión para arrojar luz sobre la ambivalencia experimentada y el deseo de los migrantes de construir un futuro mejor.
